About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and friendly Cashier to join our team at Love Lane Market. As a cashier, you will be the first point of contact for customers, handling transactions efficiently and providing excellent customer service. Your role is essential in ensuring a smooth and pleasant shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly as they enter and approach the checkout counter
- Accurately scan, price, and bag merchandise
- Process cash, credit, debit, and other payment transactions
- Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Answer customer inquiries and assist with product location when necessary
- Follow all store policies and procedures regarding cash handling
- Count and reconcile cash drawer at beginning and end of shift
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor or manager
- Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining store cleanliness when not at the register
