The Cashier role is responsible for providing service that exceeds customer expectations, accurately recording prices, collecting payments, and balancing the cash drawer. They must follow correct accounting procedures for voids, returns, exchanges, and transfers, and accurately handle cash, checks, and charge payments, including making change. Cashiers are also responsible for verifying identification for checks, credit cards, and implicitly following liquor and tobacco laws.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Love food and can create an experience that is beyond the everyday.

Responsibilities
- Accurately records prices and collects payments.
- Responsible for accurate balancing of the cash drawer.
- Follows and implements correct accounting procedures for all voids, returns, exchanges, and department transfers.
- Accurately collects cash, checks, or charge payments from customers and makes changes when required on cash transactions.
- Verifies identification for authenticity and signature when processing checks and credit card purchases.
- Follows liquor and tobacco laws implicitly, in every regard including, but not limited to the verification and authenticity of valid, acceptable identification.
- Provide customer service that is extraordinary and exceeds the expectations of our customers.
- Follow established policies and guidelines that go beyond simply smiling and greeting customers.
- Have a positive “can-do” attitude.
- Treat others with respect.
- Easily adjust to changes in the workplace.
