About The Position

This position is responsible for creating a warm and inviting service experience by receiving payment from customers and/or employees for goods or services. The primary accountability is to ensure an optimal guest experience. This involves greeting guests courteously, accurately handling cash and credit card payments, operating a cash register, and reconciling cash at the end of a shift. The role also includes taking and reading guest's vegetable orders, maintaining consistent portion control, and ensuring line presentation and cleanliness. Full knowledge of products sold, relevant health code regulations, and company lingo for orders is required. The position also involves executing Guest SOP procedures and performing other assigned duties.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the guest experience is optimal.
  • Greet guests in a courteous and professional manner, utilizing company standardized greeting and by name when possible.
  • Count currency and give accurate change back to customers.
  • Demonstrate accuracy, integrity and excellent customer service at all times.
  • Operate cash register, computerized system with full knowledge of proper procedures.
  • Receive payment from guest and/or employees; make change as needed; issue receipts.
  • Verify customer ID when accepting credit cards.
  • Verify all bills larger than $10.00 to ensure they are not counterfeit.
  • Reconcile cash register tape with cash and receipts on hand at end of shift.
  • Have full knowledge of products sold.
  • Take and read guest's vegetable order.
  • Keep order together as it progresses through the line.
  • Maintain consistent portion control.
  • Possess full knowledge of all relevant health code regulations.
  • Demonstrate ability to utilize company abbreviations and lingo pertaining to guest orders.
  • Maintain line presentation and cleanliness of counters.
  • Possess full knowledge of Guest SOP and demonstrate execution of procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
