About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Cash Application Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately posting payments, reconciling accounts, and supporting a variety of cash application and customer service functions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong analytical skills, and maintains a high level of accuracy.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred
• 1–2 years of experience in cash applications or a similar accounting/finance role
• Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry and reconciliation
• Position is contingent on a background check

Nice To Haves

• Experience with insurance premium receivables or similar industry knowledge

Responsibilities

• Manage and respond to JPMorgan correspondence in a timely and professional manner
• Review and validate system-generated policyholder refunds for accuracy
• Post policyholder payments into the policy administration system
• Analyze aged accounts receivable balances and recommend write-offs when appropriate
• Handle customer service requests, including: Voiding and reapplying payments Cash investigations Expedited refunds Credit card voids and chargebacks Voiding and reissuing checks
• Address and resolve escalated inquiries from the BPO team
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures
