About The Position

The caseworker for the MyHOME Rapid Rehousing Project provides comprehensive supportive services to individuals experiencing homelessness in scattered site living arrangements. Using a person centered, individualized approach to service delivery, the caseworker is responsible for assessing need, developing and working with a housing stability plan and applying individualized interventions to assist participants achieve their self-defined goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a human service-related field and/or experience working with individuals and families experiencing homelessness and/or other issues that put individuals at risk of housing instability.
• Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, in the English language
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Must carry own auto insurance with at least 100,000/300,000/100,000 coverage
• Ability to maintain records and document case notes daily
• Ability to give and accept feedback as a part of a team
• Ability to traverse within the workspace and community frequently
• Be willing to learn and work with the treatment philosophies

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

• Participate in the program admission process and established goals
• Provide case management services to program participants on a regular and consistent basis as determined by the individual’s case plan.
• Ensure documentation is complete and accurate
• Meet with supervisors to review program, paperwork and case management issues
• Understand cultural diversity and show respect/sensitivity for others’ values and culture
• Promote a harassment-free environment
• Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisors
