Job Type: Full-time, Benefit-eligible Position Pay: $25-$28/hour Location: Newton, MA Supervisor: Program Manager SCHEDULE: - 40 hours per week, may include evening and weekend hours - Typical schedule is Monday-Friday 10am-6pm may include the occasional weekend day. RESPONSIBILITIES: Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the Pathway to Possible Personnel Policies and Procedures and the Pathway to Possible Policies to Promote Human Dignity Participate in agency and Department of Developmental Services training programs and attend staff meetings Participate in the development and implementation responsibilities of ISP programs designed to develop personal competencies based on each resident's long-range plan Complete all case management documentation responsibilities and maintain the confidentiality of all information relating to the individuals supported by Pathway to Possible Assist individual in the maintenance of apartment, furnishings and equipment Assist individual with laundry, food preparation, and shopping as needed Be available and responsive to all P2P supervision. Take direction from the Program Manager and participate in program and personnel evaluations Attend and participate in client's medical appointments (planned and emergency) and obtain necessary documentation needed for follow-up. Must be comfortable advocating for client rights Must engage in personal care and hygiene maintenance of clients as necessary Must be able to communicate client concerns with the greater team Must be flexible. Schedule may sometimes vary based on needs of the individuals Must have keen organizational skills and be a self-directed team player Note: Staff may be re-assigned work locations based on the needs of the people we support. Requirements REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma Bachelor’s Degree preferred Human Service experience required Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License required Driver's record being returned as valid and acceptable First Aid and CPR training required Current MAP certification or the ability to acquire MAP certification (Medication Administration Program) within 90 days of your start date and maintain MAP certification for the duration of employment Legally authorized to work in the United States Clearance of CORI background checks as required by state and federal law Clearance of DPPC registry as required by state law Cleared search of fingerprinting through DDS criminal background check The ideal candidate will have the following skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements: Sustained periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds Must be able to provide physical assistance to adults using wheelchairs Must be able to evacuate individuals supported within 2 ½ minutes Must be able to assist individuals in transferring from sitting to standing
