Provides housing-focused, trauma-informed support to help households navigate resources and work toward stable housing. Conducts housing eligibility assessments, collaborates with households to develop and adjust individualized action plans, coordinates referrals to appropriate services, and supports participants as their needs evolve. The Regional Advancement Manager is responsible for implementing the strategic fund-development plan that will provide long-term viability and thriving of Lutheran Community Services NW (LCSNW) in the Spokane and Idaho regions. The ideal candidate has an innovative and proactive mindset with a passion for internal and external teaming, motivation to create and maintain successful diversified fundraising streams, and a drive to build new, sustainable donor populations while stewarding long-time partnerships and funding sources. Reporting to the Strategic Advancement Director, this role requires enthusiasm for working with a mission-driven team to make a real and lasting difference for the future of the clients we serve as a dynamic and diverse nonprofit.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in related field.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required.
  • Must have well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must have strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and willingness to learn new databases.
  • Previous experience working with participants from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Previous experience in community and human services including serving homeless and low-income communities.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver client-centered, trauma-informed services with awareness and sensitivity to the cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds of participants.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments using intake, housing eligibility, and housing barrier tools.
  • Partner with participants to develop, implement, and update individualized, strengths-based action plans.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to support participants in achieving housing stability and self-sufficiency.
  • Provide coaching and conflict resolution support to address issues that may impact current or future housing, including conflicts with landlords, property managers, neighbors, family members, or others.
  • Coordinate and facilitate referrals to a customized array of services aligned with participant goals.
  • Collect and maintain accurate, timely, and well-organized client records and documentation.
  • Participate in required trainings, meetings, and professional development activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or directed by the Program Director.
