About The Position

The Case Management Officer in the Domestic Relations Section plays a critical role in carrying out the work of the Court and furthering the primary mission of the Domestic Relations Section to ensure that all children and families have the medical and financial support needed as determined by code, statute and law related to Child Support.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a Behavioral Science, Social Science, Social Work, Business, Paralegal or related field is preferred, OR a combination High School diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) and a minimum of approximately 2 years of related experience.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office products required; participation in training provided by the employer is expected.
  • Knowledge of contemporary office practices and procedures.
  • Criminal background checks and clearances, including but not limited to fingerprinting, as directed.

Responsibilities

  • Receives guidance and instruction from assigned Director, as well as from the Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director related to performance of duties, and regularly reports to assigned Director regarding all aspects of the position.
  • Utilizes the PA Child Support Enforcement System for case initiation, general case management and data collection and processing.
  • Dockets, scans and/or files case records.
  • Responds to walk-in, mail and telephone inquiries from clients and attorneys by providing case specific information and general education on the child support program processes.
  • Processes referrals, and reports non-compliance for welfare recipients. Processes TANF referrals and reports TANF recipient’s non-cooperation with DRS.
  • Performs general case-management functions, including data entry.
  • Reviews and analyzes reports and takes administrative actions when appropriate.
  • Accesses and utilizes various resources from the PACSES Case Management System.
  • Reports any concerns regarding child abuse and/or neglect to ChildLine.
  • Receives guidance and instruction from assigned Director, as well as from the Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director related to performance of duties, and regularly reports to assigned Director regarding all aspects of the position.
