Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Requires knowledge of basic construction methods.
  • Requires ability to read and interpret information from blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
  • Requires current knowledge of various federal, state, local, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and Joint Commission codes and regulations.
  • May be required to furnish own hand tools.
  • Requires a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in applicable discipline preferred.
  • Journeyman's card or vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Constructs, installs and maintains general building construction and fittings including but not limited to walls, doors, windows, ceilings, shelving and cabinetry.
  • Works from woodworking or other engineering drawings and sketches, along with verbal instructions.
  • Utilizes a wide variety of power and hand tools to measure, saw, level and nail building materials.
  • Performs basic layout, design, ordering and estimating of jobs.
  • Maintains inventory stock and supplies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
