About The Position

Special caregivers for special clients. Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking Virginia-certified PCAs, HHAs, and CNAs with experience supporting clients living with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, from mild memory loss to advanced care needs. We’re hiring across Manassas, Gainesville, Centreville, and surrounding areas for morning, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts. Requirements

  • Active PCA, HHA, or CNA license in the State of Virginia
  • Demonstrated experience working with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s clients
  • Current CPR certification and negative TB test
  • Must pass a background check (per Virginia HCO barrier crime standards)
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance
  • Able to lift 25 lbs. and assist clients safely

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centered care with patience and empathy
  • Support clients with bathing, dressing, and safe mobility
  • Prepare meals and maintain a calm, structured environment
  • Offer redirection and emotional reassurance for confusion or agitation
  • Assist with medication reminders and evening routines
  • Engage clients in meaningful conversation and memory activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation for each visit
