About The Position

This position exists to coordinate career services activities supporting students enrolled in career and technical education (CTE) programs, specifically through Perkins grant initiatives. This position will coordinate career exploration and readiness activities, explore and expand CTE internship placements, support Hawthorne students, and assist in career placement support services. All employees of RCTC are responsible for promoting a culture that supports diversity and inclusion in all forms, as well as providing excellent customer service to all internal and external contacts.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience working in career services or related role.
  • Experience coordinating career services, career development, workforce preparation, or related student services.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple initiatives independently.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce measurable outcomes

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Career and Technical Education programs.
  • Experience working in a two-year college setting.
  • Experience working with the implementation of Carl Perkins grant priorities.
  • Experience in designing early credit opportunities with secondary partners.
  • Experience administering career exploration tools such as Focus2Career.
  • Evidence of effective communication and facilitation skills.
  • Experience in the MinnState higher education system
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Career Development and Placement Support
  • Coordinate Career and Technical Education Internships
  • Assist with the annual Perkins grant cycle and all related processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned to maintain the reputation of the College.
