As a Career Development Specialist, you’ll play a key role in providing services related to Compass 100 Hybrid and supplemental in-cell assignments through cell-front instruction for eligible participants who are in restrictive housing as directed by the Lead Educator. Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for: Administration and interpretation of assessments; Delivery of the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program curriculum; Delivery of other programs as determined by the Department; Maintaining and providing documentation of services delivered; Reporting monthly attendance, program enrollments, and completions on the Department’s approved form, DC5-149 “Correctional Daily Attendance Roster” (Attachment #2); Providing information pertaining to pre-release connections of community providers and employers for inmate release planning services to facility release officer’s; and Assisting the Pre-Release Employment Navigators with hiring events, mock interviews, pre-release job search, recruitment, and readiness portfolio development through face-to-face and technology-based interactions.
