About The Position

The CARE Senior Lead provides operational leadership for teams supporting sensitive, human‑services–focused work in a compliance‑driven environment. This role oversees staff conducting case‑related activities, ensures adherence to policies and procedures, and serves as an escalation point for complex or high‑risk situations. The position emphasizes quality, timeliness, and professional judgment while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; or Associate degree with additional relevant experience; or Equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience
  • Two (2) or more years of relevant experience in child welfare, human services, case management, social services, or similar environments
  • At least one (1) year of supervisory or lead experience in a structured operational setting
  • Experience working in high‑volume, deadline‑driven environments with detailed documentation requirements
  • Strong leadership, judgment, and decision‑making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • Comfortable using technology and learning new systems quickly
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required or preferred, depending on assignment
  • Flexible schedule required, including evenings and weekends
  • Must be accessible by mobile phone as needed for operational matters

  • Child Abuse/Neglect Report (CAN) or child protective services check to the satisfaction of contract requirements.
  • Internal background check to the satisfaction of contract requirements.

  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance
  • Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees and ability to regularly travel via air, car, train, etc.
  • Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 15% - 49% of the time.
  • Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 10% - 25% of the time.
  • Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type, and use a telephone system 75% - 100% of the time.
  • Physical Dimensions: May move 20-30 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support staff performing case‑based and client‑facing work
  • Assign daily workloads and monitor progress to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Serve as escalation point for complex, sensitive, or high‑risk cases
  • Review documentation and work products for compliance with established standards
  • Ensure consistent application of policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct spot checks, quality reviews, and operational inspections
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and corrective feedback as needed
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members
  • Manage schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and operational continuity
  • Communicate guidance, updates, and expectations clearly to staff
  • Prepare reports and operational updates for management
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries
  • Perform other duties as assigned
