Position Summary The Care Management Associate supports clinical operations and EPSDT (Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment) teams, either on the phone or by performing data entry. In this role, you will: Process intake of services via electronic fax system, email, and postal mail. Research member eligibility information prior to creating any authorizations. Create authorizations in appropriate database and fax back authorization numbers to assigned providers. Enter EPSDT forms into database and send referrals as requested to internal departments. Protect the confidentiality of member information and adhere to company policies. Promote and support quality administration of healthcare services.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in health care.
  • 1+ year of experience in customer service.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), as well as a demonstrated computer literacy and ability to navigate through internal and external systems.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must reside in Maricopa County, Arizona.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of experience as a medical assistant and/or office assistant.
  • Demonstrated comfort receiving regular feedback in the interest of professional development.
  • Previous experience with basic medical terminology.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work successfully in a team-based environment.
  • Effective communication (written & telephonic) and organizational skills.
  • Associate’s degree.
