About The Position
Job Title: Cardiologist Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Lewisburg, PA Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: April 20, 2026 – Ongoing (13 -week assignment) Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm On -Call Shift Schedule: 2 nights per week and 1 weekend per month Call Type: Night Pager Call and 24 Hour Call COVERAGE DATES Start Date: 04/20/2026 Assignment Length: 13 Weeks Ongoing coverage potential based on need PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults, Geriatrics Phone Consults: As clinically appropriate Case Mix: General Cardiology FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Office Equipment Available: Standard outpatient cardiology diagnostic equipment Specialty Backup Available: Hospital -based specialty services Support Staff Available: 5 Front Office Staff and 6 Nursing Staff Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 60 Days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered (airfare, hotel, rental car, mileage) REQUIRED PROCEDURES Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) Cardioversions Nuclear Studies Interpretation Cardiac CTA Interpretation JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Pennsylvania Medical License (Required) Board: BC in Cardiology, BC in Nuclear Medicine, and BC in CTA (All Required) DEA: Active DEA Required (PA) Certifications: BLS and ACLS Required Experience: Minimum 1 Year in Cardiology Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR and ability to independently perform required procedures DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide outpatient cardiology services Monday through Friday Perform TEE procedures and cardioversions as clinically indicated Interpret nuclear studies and cardiac CTA imaging Participate in scheduled night and weekend call coverage Document patient encounters accurately within Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania Medical License (Required)
- BC in Cardiology, BC in Nuclear Medicine, and BC in CTA (All Required)
- Active DEA Required (PA)
- BLS and ACLS Required
- Minimum 1 Year in Cardiology
- Proficiency with Epic EMR and ability to independently perform required procedures
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient cardiology services Monday through Friday
- Perform TEE procedures and cardioversions as clinically indicated
- Interpret nuclear studies and cardiac CTA imaging
- Participate in scheduled night and weekend call coverage
- Document patient encounters accurately within Epic EMR
