About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide critical care to patients in our Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU). The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, managing treatments, monitoring patient conditions, and advocating for the needs of patients and families. As a CSICU Registered Nurse, you will be at the forefront of providing compassionate care in a high-stakes environment. Requirements

• Minimum 1+ years of Acute Care RN experience
• Current Florida RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Required within 6 months
• NIHSS Stroke Certification – Must obtain within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

• ICU experience preferred but not required
• CCRN (Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse) – Preferred (must obtain within 2 years)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-intensity care for patients recovering from cardiac surgery
• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and document patient progress
• Manage complex treatments and patient care independently
• Advocate for the needs of patients and families in the ICU setting
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines
• Educate patients and families about medications, treatments, and recovery plans
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
