About The Position

The Cardiac Eligibility, Verification, and Authorization (EVA) Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of insurance eligibility verification, benefits confirmation, and prior authorization processes related to RomTech’s cardiac monitoring services. This role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant authorization workflows to support patient access to care, minimize delays, and optimize reimbursement. The EVA Manager will lead a specialized team, collaborate closely with clinical, billing, and operational partners, and drive continuous improvement across EVA processes in a fast-paced, technology-driven healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in healthcare eligibility, verification, prior authorization, or revenue cycle management.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of insurance payer requirements, prior authorization processes, and medical necessity criteria.
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience working with cardiac services, remote patient monitoring, or diagnostic testing preferred.
  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer authorization processes.
  • Familiarity with healthcare technology platforms, EHRs, and authorization systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the Cardiac EVA team, ensuring accurate and timely insurance eligibility checks, benefits verification, and prior authorization submissions.
  • Establish and maintain standardized workflows and best practices for EVA processes related to cardiac monitoring services.
  • Ensure authorization requirements are met prior to service delivery to reduce denials and delays in care.
  • Hire, train, mentor, and supervise EVA staff.
  • Monitor individual and team performance, productivity, and accuracy.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and patient-focused team culture aligned with RomTech’s values.
  • Ensure compliance with payer requirements, CMS guidelines, and internal policies.
  • Monitor authorization turnaround times, approval rates, and denial trends.
  • Conduct audits and implement corrective action plans to improve accuracy and outcomes.
  • Partner with clinical teams to align authorization requirements with medical necessity documentation.
  • Collaborate with billing and revenue cycle teams to reduce denials and support clean claims.
  • Work closely with operations, technology, and leadership teams to optimize EVA systems and workflows.
  • Track and analyze EVA metrics including authorization approvals, denials, turnaround time, and payer-specific trends.
  • Prepare regular reports and insights for leadership.
  • Use data to drive process improvements and scalability.
  • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline EVA workflows using technology and data.
  • Support implementation of new tools, payer requirements, and cardiac service offerings.
  • Stay current on evolving payer policies and industry best practices.
