About The Position

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Card Operations Representative I. Primary Function: The Card Operations Representative I supports Debit, Credit, and ATM card operations by executing established standard work to issue and reissue cards, maintain accurate system data, respond to card‑related inquiries, service dispute and fraud claims, and process account settlement transactions in a timely and compliant manner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) certificate, or state authorized high school equivalent certificate required
  • Minimum 1 Year Work history Credit Union or Financial Institution experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1 Year Card or Payment Operations experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Set up new debit and credit card accounts and perform ongoing card maintenance using internal and third party systems in accordance with established standard work and quality controls.
  • Respond to card related inquiries and process debit, credit, and ATM card dispute and fraud claims in compliance with departmental procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and professional service to internal and external members, utilizing effective communication to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor assigned work queues to identify processing delays or errors and notify leadership, and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, compliance, and member satisfaction.
  • Maintain and expand job knowledge through active listening, asking clarifying questions, and applying continuous improvement practices.
  • Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
