Our Newest Opportunity: The Captive Manager will oversee the ongoing development and execution of OneDigital’s national captive strategy and program growth. This includes but is not limited to collaborating with OneDigital stakeholders and local teams, captive clients, key carrier and vendor partners, and in-house and external analytics platforms. This role blends sales and marketing, client education, carrier and vendor partner support, and operational expertise; serving as an advisor and primary point of contact for local teams and captive clients while ensuring performance excellence. The Captive Manager coordinates all aspects of captive meetings, risk management and other solutions, the sales process, operations and workflows, regulatory compliance, The ideal candidate will serve as the visible, trusted face for OneDigital’s internal captive programs and as the key liaison with external and third-party captive programs. This leader is a driver of sales and marketing growth, process and program excellence; helping design, implement, and refine operational workflows and best practices that support scalable, compliant, and highly effective captive solutions

Requirements

  • Acts as the visible, trusted face of both OneDigital’s internal captive program and third-party captive programs.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and negotiation skills—including experience presenting to executive audiences.
  • Demonstrates strong relationship-building and communication skills, adept at influencing and engaging diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Possesses extensive expertise and deep industry knowledge of captive insurance structures, regulations, and risk management strategies
  • Be proactive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented, with a collaborative spirit and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Adapt quickly to change, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a customer-centric mindset at all times.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support field offices and critical client engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Relationship Management Serve as the liaison and trusted advisor to field teams, as well as current and prospective Captive clients
  • Build trust and credibility by offering proactive support, guidance, and training needs to Captive clients
  • Lead relationship building by fostering trust and collaboration with carriers and external vendor partners
  • Analytics, Benchmarking, and Portfolio Management Plan, coordinate and lead recurring captive member meetings throughout the year.
  • Develop and maintain benchmarks and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate captive performance.
  • Leverage data analytics dashboards to track growth, revenue, loss ratios, and reserve adequacy against industry benchmarks.
  • Monitor portfolio performance to ensure alignment with client and business objectives.
  • Translate complex analytics into actionable recommendations, enabling executive decision-making and operational optimization.
  • Develop, implement, and refine captive management processes to promote operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Revenue and Policy Management Monitor and track premium revenues, loss ratios, and overall captive financial performance.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of captive insurance policies, including implementation, claims processing and renewals
  • Market Intelligence & Compliance Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory developments relevant to Captives and Stop Loss.
  • Ensure all sales activities and communications comply with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Stay deeply informed of industry trends, competitor solutions, and emerging clients need to shape sales strategy.
