Enterprise Technology is dedicated to supporting the mission of the University of Texas at Austin of unlocking potential and preparing future leaders of the state. The work done in this role will make a difference in the lives of students, faculty, and staff at a university internationally recognized for research. The Digital Accessibility Center, where this role is situated, works to ensure that UT class and other online materials are accessible, especially for disabled students, faculty, and staff with access needs. The Captioning Student Associate's purpose is to caption and transcribe a wide variety of class materials and other requests, providing a valuable service to the entire campus, particularly for students with accessibility needs, enabling them to participate and learn fully in their classes. This position is open to all applicants, with a weekly scheduled commitment of 19 hours. The earliest start date is ongoing, and the position duration is limited based on business need. Career competencies gained include communicating clearly, making decisions and solving problems using sound reasoning, and demonstrating integrity and accountability. Both Work-Study (WS) and Non-Work-Study student employees will be hired for this position.
