Position Overview: In this role, interns will gain first-hand experience assisting with targeted clinical interventions to streamline mental health support for children and adolescents. The intern will experience various assessments and plans, in addition to case documentation while providing administrative and clerical support. Interns must possess excellent oral and written presentation skills, maturity, self-motivation, and be comfortable working with students with diverse needs. Through this internship you will work with a dynamic team of staff who are highly committed to the Canopy mission. This opportunity is unpaid and for academic credit only. Internship Program Requirements: All interns are required to attend a mandatory orientation and training session at the beginning of their internship. Business professional attire. Established contract with academic institution. Minimum 100-hour commitment unless stated otherwise in contract. Students must satisfactorily complete goals as outlined by university affiliates and their assigned site supervisor.

Requirements

  • Current students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy or related behavioral health field.
  • This internship requires occasional travel to and from the office and schools / school districts.
  • Students must satisfactorily complete goals as outlined by college affiliates and their assigned site supervision.
  • Must be enrolled, and in good academic standing, with an accredited academic institution at time of internship.
  • All interns are required to attend a mandatory orientation and training session at the beginning of their internship.
  • Business professional attire.
