About The Position

Position Summary: This position is comprised of management and clinical responsibilities as a member of the Cancer Support Services Team. The Cancer Program Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the department and works closely with each member of the department as well as the entire Tammy Walker Cancer Center (TWCC) staff including the Medical Oncology group and the Radiation Oncology Group. Work involves providing full time leadership for the Cancer Program staff and providing management of all programs including the Clinical Trials Program, Social Services Program, Nutrition Program, Performance Improvement, Cancer Committee, Accreditation Processes, Cancer Registry, Social Media, Outreach including public screenings and innovations leading to new patient centered programs resulting in improved quality in all areas of cancer care. The Cancer Program Manager also serves as the Cancer Program Outreach Coordinator. The Cancer Program Outreach Coordinator coordinates the writing and directing of grants, coordinates and participates in screening activities, and conducts educational programs related to cancer prevention and detection in Salina and the Sunflower Health Network. Activities include but are not limited to: writing and directing of grants, networking and team building with healthcare providers locally and regionally, developing and teaching educational programs to varied ages and educational levels. The Cancer Program Outreach Coordinator should be knowledgeable with developing spreadsheets and computer programs such as Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Requirements

  • Associate or diploma degree in Business or medical related field
  • Knowledgeable with developing spreadsheets and computer programs such as Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2 years of marketing experience preferred
  • Grant-writing and maintenance experience preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
