About The Position

The Campus Recruiter plays a key role in strengthening MyEyeDr.’s national student talent pipeline by building meaningful, long-term connections with optometry students and academic institutions across the United States. Acting as the connective tissue between Campus Relations and OD Recruitment, this role transforms early interest into real opportunity—supporting both teams through relationship management, proactive sourcing, CRM execution, externship coordination, and a strong presence at campus and industry events. In this role, you curate the student journey from the first interaction through advanced stages of the recruitment process. You maintain continuity and momentum through thoughtful sourcing, pipeline stewardship, and consistent, high-touch engagement, ultimately delivering a white-glove transition to OD Recruiters for final introductions, offers, and contract completion—creating a polished, intentional, and elevated candidate experience. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Campus Relations, this role sits within the Office of People Engagement and collaborates closely with cross-functional partners—bringing people, programs, and purpose together to shape the future of optometry at MyEyeDr.. This is a hybrid remote role, offering a flexible work arrangement out of either our Raleigh, NC or Vienna, VA offices.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resource management, communications, business administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in recruitment, campus engagement, admissions, talent sourcing.
  • Willingness to travel 50%+ for campus, event, and conference needs.
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills, including experience delivering presentations and representing an employer brand to students and academic partners.
  • High attention to detail, follow-through, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term partnerships with academic institutions, faculty, extern coordinators, and student groups.
  • Proficiency with CRM/ATS systems, digital sourcing tools, and recruitment metrics tracking.
  • Experience coordinating campus events, logistics, and candidate engagement programming.
  • Comfort facilitating both in-person and virtual events/webinars.
  • Strong written communication skills, including crafting candidate outreach materials and follow-up communications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, clinical recruitment, or professional school recruitment (optometry, pharmacy, dental, medical) preferred.
  • Experience with student programming, mentorship initiatives, or externship/internship coordination preferred.
  • Familiarity with high-volume, pipeline-driven recruiting environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Manager of Campus Relations in maintaining relationships with optometry schools, faculty, student organizations, and career services partners.
  • Coordinate and participate in on-campus engagement activities, including information sessions, student dinners, career fairs, and sponsored events.
  • Assist in representing MyEyeDr. at national and regional conferences, networking events, and industry-sponsored programs.
  • Execute proactive sourcing efforts through CRM mining, outreach campaigns, professional networks, student lists, and digital platforms.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, ensuring timely follow-up and appropriate candidate progression through the pipeline.
  • Execute established communication cadences (email, text, and nurture campaigns) to support consistent student engagement throughout their academic journey.
  • Provide logistical and operational support for all campus and industry events, including preparation, materials, registration, and post-event follow-up.
  • Coordinate shipping, travel arrangements, event materials, and reporting needs in support of campus initiatives.
  • Ensure post-event outreach and documentation are completed and properly captured within the CRM.
  • Partner closely with OD Recruiters to support a seamless, high-touch transition from campus engagement into the formal recruitment process.
  • Compile and share pipeline metrics, engagement insights, and conversion data to support reporting to Talent Acquisition leadership.
  • Assist in the development and execution of programs designed to enhance MyEyeDr.’s visibility and employer brand presence within optometry schools.
  • Coordinate virtual engagement initiatives (webinars, career sessions, Q&A panels, virtual open houses) to extend reach across campuses.
  • Collaborate with Talent Branding to support the creation and distribution of student-facing digital and social content aligned with MyEyeDr.’s value proposition.
  • Track participation, engagement outcomes, and program effectiveness to support continuous improvement efforts.
