Latin School of Chicago is currently searching for an outstanding Campus Coordinator for various responsibilities including traffic and recess security, mailroom clerk, and receptionist. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, able to exercise good judgment, detailed, organized, a team player, and have excellent communication skills with all members of the Latin Community. The Campus Coordinator is a full-time position with an outstanding benefits package that includes a very generous time-off plan that includes 5 weeks of paid time off and 14 recognized holidays. What You’ll Do: Monday to Friday from 10:30am to 6:00pm and Saturdays from 7:45am to 3:00pm , the Campus Coordinator works within each division to perform a variety of non-teaching duties that include:

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • CPR and AED training (training available internally)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, independently and intuitively
  • Strong organizational skills for multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities
  • Friendly and team oriented
  • Must be able to lift and lower packages up to 70 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, and walk significant distances while pulling/pushing a cart.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain order in each buildings’ lobbies, school grounds, and street crossings
  • Monitor Lincoln Park for safety when being used by students and teachers for recess
  • Carry and maintain AED machine and first aid materials (may render treatment when needed)
  • Help facilitate Crisis Management Drills (fire, lockdown, etc)
  • Manage and organize traffic procedures each day
  • Set up and break down for school arrival and/or departure for Lower, Middle, and/or Upper Schools: moving traffic cones, calling in cars that need to be towed, reporting suspicious activity, etc
  • Direct cars through the chute and alert teachers when caregivers arrive for student pickup
  • Greet and request sign-in of all visitors, issue a pass, and direct the individual(s) to proper location
  • Answer, screen, and direct calls on main switchboard
  • Accept and distribute all items left for students, faculty, and staff
  • Maintain sign in sheets, phone listings, and listings of all events and activities
  • Assist with the logging, preparation, and distribution of of all interoffice, incoming, and outgoing mail and packages
  • Fill requests for large copy jobs (including copying and binding)
  • Deliver copy supplies to schools as needed, monitoring supply levels to ensure supplies are properly stocked
