Requirements

Previous experience working with children in a camp, recreational, or educational setting
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to motivate and inspire young campers
Knowledge of outdoor safety procedures and first aid certification preferred
Responsible, reliable, and adaptable with a positive attitude
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and evenings as needed

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage groups of campers in daily activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment
Lead and facilitate a variety of camp activities, including sports, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and team-building exercises
Mentor and support junior counselors, fostering a positive team environment
Enforce camp rules and safety protocols consistently and effectively
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding camper progress and concerns
Assist in planning and organizing special events and themed activities
Maintain a clean and organized activity area and ensure equipment is used responsibly
