About The Position

This position is with Camp Carew, 303 Hidden Bay Ln, Makanda, IL 62958, and is seasonal (summers).
The Camp Counselor reports to the Program Director and Camp Director and is responsible for all meal planning and preparing, ordering and inventory, cleanliness, and organization of the kitchen, and following State Licensing Compliance Standards for each summer camp session.
Applicants must be 19 years of age and a high school graduate or equivalent.
Previous experience working in a kitchen and/or food industry is required.

Responsibilities

• The duties are to assist the head cook include operating the kitchen and planning all summer camp menus according to the US Department of Health and Human Services/US Department of Agriculture, Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2021.
• The cook must prepare all necessary meals and snacks for all sessions and ensure compliance with local and state licensing standards.
