At RA, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We are actively seeking a Camp Administrator to join our team! This position plays a vital role in delivering safe, engaging, and high-quality camp programs that strengthen community connections and promote active lifestyles. The Camp Administrator supports the year-round administration and daily operations of RA’s camp programs. From planning and preparation in the off-season to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations during camp season, this role is key to creating exceptional experiences for campers and families. Working closely with the Recreation Manager, you’ll assist with staff scheduling and supervision, manage camper enrollment, coordinate compliance requirements, and provide outstanding customer service to parents and guardians. This position is full-time offering 40 hours per week with occasional evening and weekend shifts required to support department operations and special events. These hours depend on operational needs and are subject to change.

Requirements

  • Age 21+
  • Bachelor’s degree or confirmed college enrollment, coursework in Education or Child Development preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in camp management, recreation, education, or related fields.
  • Supervisory experience with seasonal staff of all ages and experience levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional administrative and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Excel in the ability to prioritize, organize, and lead in a fast-paced environment.
  • Energetic, adaptable and love being outdoors.
  • Strategic thinker, excited to manage logistics, programming, and risk mitigation in a Camp program.
  • Ability to meet all county/state licensing requirements including background checks and in-person training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word preferred)
  • Positive role model, you set the tone for a respectful and engaging environment.
  • Physically able to actively engage with children, lift up to 40 pounds, and maintain visual awareness while standing or sitting for extended periods.
