About The Position

The client is expanding their Claims customer service representative. This is a high-level call center role focused primarily on homeowner claims. Call durations can range from 1 minute to 45 minutes, often involving customers who are frustrated due to delayed repairs or held funds.

Requirements

  • Customer service
  • Inbound call handling
  • Escalation management
  • Contact center experience
  • Mortgage or insurance knowledge (preferred)
  • Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
  • Working cellphone with active service (required for dual authentication)
  • 1–2 years of call center experience (preferably in escalations, claims, or insurance)
  • Ability to handle difficult and high-pressure conversations (“thick skin”)
  • Proficient with Windows PCs and navigating complex systems
  • Typing speed of at least 35 WPM
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable transportation (references will be checked)

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance or mortgage
  • Experience handling auto claims or other claim types
  • Previous Medicaid or Medicare call center experience

Responsibilities

  • Handle approximately 40–50 inbound calls per day, depending on call length
  • Assist customers with existing homeowner claims
  • Navigate multiple systems to research and resolve inquiries
  • Use claim tools to provide accurate and timely information
  • Handle escalated calls when necessary
  • Serve as a liaison between Proctor, homeowners, and lenders
  • Maintain professionalism while managing upset or frustrated customers
  • Document all interactions and updates in the claim system
  • Make outbound calls as required
  • Apply strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
