In this role, you will report to the Onsite Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. Location: Malvern, PA Shift: 11 pm - 7 am (Sunday - Thursday) Hourly Rate: $21.63 + 15% shift differential ($3.24/hr.) = $24.87/hr. In this role you will: Perform equipment calibrations (e.g., pH meters and laboratory instruments) and ensure all equipment meets calibration standards Work with team members to verify calibration accuracy and document all work in the Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) Open work orders and apply lockout/tagout procedures when equipment cannot be calibrated Maintain laboratory water baths, including draining, cleaning, and refilling Follow all PPE and safety requirements (safety glasses, gloves, lab coat, steel-toe shoes) Create, update, and maintain documentation to support compliance, training, and service delivery Track and report KPIs, metrics, SLAs, and weekly performance data Review reports and measurements to identify continuous improvement opportunities Ensure tasks are completed on schedule and meet quality standards Identify, act on, and report any deviations Laboratory Support & Shipping Serve as a primary contact for research staff regarding inventory and sample dispatch issues Receive, prepare, pack, and ship R&D samples (biological, chemical, radioactive, etc.) globally Ensure shipments comply with all transport, regulatory, GxP, and health & safety requirements Verify all shipping documentation is complete and accurate Resolve or escalate complex customer or delivery-related issues Monitor and manage special handling requirements (hazardous, temperature-sensitive materials) Maintain building security standards in line with regulatory requirements Support regulatory inspections, including escorting auditors and providing documentation Inventory & Documentation Ensure incoming materials meet quality and quantity requirements and are correctly entered into inventory Perform regular inventory and stock checks Maintain accurate inventory records (location, quantity, value) Develop procedures and reports to improve inventory control and reduce costs Troubleshoot inventory system issues Archive documentation and ensure shipment authorizations (e.g., COAs, licenses) are available on time Coordinate with government agencies, suppliers, customers, and internal teams to resolve complex delivery issues
