Job Description The candidate will be responsible for the calibration of EBAD’s gauges and for providing backup to the Receiving Inspection area. The role is expected to spend 70% of a typical week supporting calibration, 30% supporting Receiving Inspection.

Requirements

  • The successful candidate must have graduated from High School or earned an equivalent G.E.D. and has 3+ years of experience with inspection of mechanical components in an aerospace or defense related company or related field.
  • Capable of utilizing all standard inspection tools and equipment including calipers, micrometers and drop indicators.
  • Must be familiar with ISO/AS Quality System requirements.
  • Must be able to read and interpret Geometric Dimension and Tolerance (GD&T) or to learn GD&T.
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience working with Calibration tools.
  • Must be able to read and understand military specifications and industry standards.
  • Must be able to read and understand English.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management.
  • Must have basic PC fundamentals, knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma Green Belt through ASQ, CQE/CQM Certification program is a plus.
  • Experience working directly with internal/external customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration on all gauges that are calibrated internally.
  • Accurately record the results of those calibrations.
  • Manage in flow of gauges to and from external calibration sources.
  • Clean, repair and calibrate using standards with have an unbroken chain of traceability to nationally accepted standards and a total summation of accuracy uncertainty with is in accordance with company and customer specifications.
  • Develop new calibration procedures and revised existing procedures as needed.
  • Communicate the status of gauges that require calibration.
  • Support Receiving Inspection (RI) with the inspection of incoming parts and materials.
  • Maintain accurate, neat and complete inspection records
  • Keep work area organized and clean and follow all established safety guidelines
  • Work within a team structure to achieve company and department goals
  • Perform additional duties related to specific area assignments when requested.
