The Mission Solutions Operation at Leidos is seeking a Calibration Technician to support a government contract in the National Capital Region (NCR). The ideal candidate will be able to calibrate, troubleshoot and repair electronic test equipment which includes analyzers (spectrum, signal, network, noise, modulation, power and audio), oscilloscopes, meters, test sets, generators (signal, vector, level), and power supplies. The Calibration Technician will coordinate directly with the customer management and employees, program management and employees, and outside vendors. Primary Responsibilities: Provide calibration services on a wide range of electronic test equipment using customized manual or automated software routines Ensure adherence to both Industry and customer standards and best practices, and compliance to any applicable board and reviews Identify and implement strategic equipment and process improvements and solutions that are consistent with the customer's vision and mission Provide technical support to test and inspection personnel and field personnel regarding test equipment Create and maintain procedures and documentation related to the calibration support Maintain a technical equipment library and calibration status and schedule of all equipment Design test procedures from manufacturer’s specifications Initiate procurement requests for vendor repairs and replacement equipment Communicate regularly with both customer management and the contract PM on the status of the calibration requirements and support Required Qualifications and Skills: Active TS/SCI with poly Associate of Science (AS) degree or higher in an Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology and at least 4 years of relevant experience Demonstrated experience in calibration fundamentals Experience working with, calibrating and repairing electronic test equipment from HP, Agilent, Keysight, National Instruments, and/or Tektronix including signal analyzers, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, function generators, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, power analyzers and network analyzers. Experience applying logistics and procurement best practices in order to support program requirements Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, adapt quickly to changing requirements, and work independently and on a team Ability to effectively communicate processes and procedures to program employees, partner organizations, customer base, and outside vendors Self-starter that can establish priorities, resolve immediate issues, and coordinate with customer or program management on complex problems Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with team members, customers, outside vendors, and procurement specialists Experience with standard Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs Up to 10% CONUS and OCONUS travel If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
