About The Position

AMENTUM is seeking a high-level Electronics / Calibration Technician IV on 1st shift for our Facility Operations & Maintenance team in Mossville, IL! Typical work schedule is Monday – Friday, 7:00am 3:30pm; hours may vary based on business demand. This position is responsible for providing an advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive maintenance and repair on industrial grade electrical / electronic equipment. Performs maintenance, calibration, repair, cleaning, and sensor changes on various equipment and controls related to fire and life safety systems, fixed and portable gas monitoring systems, emergency lighting, and air movement / ventilation equipment. Calibrate gas, ozone, CO, CO2, and related sensors. Requires an electronics background in circuit board control and repairs, low voltage systems such as 0-10V and 4-20mA systems, and calibrations related to OSHA regulations. Conduit experience is preferred. The Electronics / Calibrations Technician IV must have the ability to identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures. General Maintenance of equipment will also be required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
  • Five years of experience performing electronic systems maintenance and calibration in an industrial environment or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in an Industrial Electrical or related skilled trade program.
  • Experience in circuit board control and repairs.
  • Experience calibrating gas, ozone, CO, CO2, and related sensors.
  • Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing low voltage controls.
  • Experience in troubleshooting 4-20mA circuits.
  • Experience using electronic test equipment such as DVM, amp probe, oscilloscope, and signal generator.
  • Experience running conduit.
  • Ability to read, interpret and record data from meters, gauges, panels, computer consoles and other equipment.
  • NFPA-70E Training.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs electrical / electronic equipment.
  • Assures work conforms to NEC guidelines.
  • Utilizes the building automation system to track building conditions and the operation of facilities equipment.
  • Utilizes strong electrical and mechanical skills to complete assignments.
  • Identifies and documents cost savings.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on industrial electrical control and operating systems as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Responds and provides service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Understands company policies and enforces safety regulations.
  • Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required.
  • Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions.
  • Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.
  • Maintains a strict schedule to be successful in the assignment yet demonstrates flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer.
