Team Overview The Development team covers full cycle development from market analysis and early-stage strategy through to start of construction and financial close. Joining the Development team you will be responsible for driving project development; owning strategy, economics, interconnection, budget, schedule and overall project management. This position will work closely with subject matter experts across all aspects of project development. What You’ll Do Lead all aspects of project development, from early-stage strategy and siting to start of construction with a heavy emphasis on optimizing economics and driving interconnection Manage and own the project development workstreams for solar and storage projects in the CAISO market through the leadership of an interdisciplinary team of subject matter experts Serve as main point of contact with the interconnecting utility and affected systems through the interconnection study process, LGIA and mitigation agreement negotiations, into construction Perform financial modeling and analysis necessary to advise key transactions as well as evaluate and frame project development risks and opportunities Maintain ownership of project budgets, schedules, and reporting Manage transmission consultants performing power flow, deliverability, basis, and curtailment analyses and drive efforts to resolve interconnection-related obstacles and accelerate timelines Support in managing land agents, real estate attorneys, surveyors, title companies and tax consultants Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to support the permitting, land acquisition and title curation processes Support the creation and improvement of development and project management tools, processes, and standard operating procedures Structure, prepare and present analysis and materials for senior management and capital deployment committees Support all project level reporting and key decision-making presentations for the executive team
