About The Position

The role of Project Developer involves extensive duties related to land development and overseeing the execution of base building and tenant improvement projects within the Healthcare and Life Sciences sectors. This role involves managing the entire project lifecycle from initial planning to successful completion, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Developer will work closely with owners, tenants, architects, engineers, contractors, and various internal departments to ensure the project's scope, schedule, and budget align with the end-user’s needs and requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing commercial construction projects, specifically with a focus on redevelopment projects.
  • Proficient in construction means and methods with a detailed understanding of project financials, specifications, and scheduling.
  • Knowledgeable in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and structural designs and installations.
  • Strong time-management skills to handle multiple project schedules and deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to oversee third-party consultants and contractors throughout the project duration.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference for experience in wet and dry laboratory construction.
  • Ideal candidate will have a background in Healthcare and Life Sciences projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design and construction of various land development, ground-up, renovation, and tenant improvement projects for MRA and its clients, ensuring alignment with company standards and client expectations.
  • Define the project scope, schedule, and budget by working closely with Owners or Tenants to understand the end-user’s functional and operational requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive project schedules and budgets that incorporate all aspects of design and construction while meeting or exceeding the end-user’s timeline and cost expectations.
  • Lead and manage architects and engineers during the planning and design phases to ensure plans and specifications accurately reflect the approved scope.
  • Oversee contractors during the construction phase to guarantee high-quality workmanship, adherence to schedule, and compliance with the approved scope and standards.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation throughout the lifecycle, including contracts, meeting minutes, scope and schedule changes, and budget adjustments, ensuring transparency and traceability.
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and internal controls to uphold consistency, mitigate risk, and support successful project execution.
  • Collaborate with internal departments—leasing, accounting, marketing, and property management—to ensure seamless communication and alignment throughout the project.
  • Serve as a key contributor to the company’s growth by delivering successful projects that meet stakeholder goals and reinforce MRA’s reputation for excellence.
