Samuel Staples Elementary School: Cafeteria Supervisor Position Type: Support Staff Date Posted: 3/31/2026 Location: Samuel Staples Elementary School, Easton, CT Closing Date: Until flled Hours : 15 hours per week. Schedule is 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday when school is in session for students. It is a 180-day work schedule each school year. Start Date : Immediate opening. Salary and Benefits : In accordance with the paraprofessional bargaining unit contract. Starting pay rate is $17.00/hour. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Supervising students (Grade 1 – Grade 5) for safety and appropriate behavior on the playground and/or in a classroom setting for indoor recess
  • Helping students resolve minor conflicts with their peers
  • Observing student behavior
  • Consistently circulating the playground area (or classroom) to observe student interaction
