The Cafeteria Attendant supports the daily operation of the Dellshire Resort associate dining area by providing a clean, welcoming, and well-stocked environment for all curators. This position assists with food service, stocking, cleanliness, and guest (associate) service to ensure an enjoyable and efficient dining experience. The Cafeteria Attendant plays an important role in caring for our team by maintaining high standards of hospitality, food safety, and presentation, reflecting Dellshire’s culture of service and togetherness.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous food service, cafeteria, or restaurant experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
  • ServSafe or Food Handler certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Strong teamwork and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Positive attitude with a service-minded approach.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain the cafeteria service line, ensuring food is properly displayed, stocked, and replenished.
  • Serve food portions according to established guidelines and food safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, tables, counters, equipment, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and food service equipment as needed.
  • Monitor food temperatures and follow proper food handling and storage procedures.
  • Restock supplies including condiments, beverages, utensils, and paper goods.
  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing food deliveries.
  • Support basic food preparation tasks such as portioning, plating, and light prep work as directed.
  • Provide friendly, helpful service to associates and leadership while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Follow all health department regulations, sanitation guidelines, and resort safety procedures.
  • Assist with special events, team meals, or seasonal functions as needed.
  • Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly to leadership.
  • Perform additional duties or projects as assigned by the supervisor.
