About The Position
MTC is proud to operate the Charleston Job Corps Center in Charleston, VW where our staff provide quality services to our local youth. What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for replenishing napkin dispensers, plate racks, silverware racks, salt and pepper shakers and condiments. Make coffee, tea and other beverages and set up cafeteria lines and serve meals on the line. Assist in the storage and inventory of supplies; transfer food ingredients from storage area to cooking area. Clean food service area, tables and kitchen equipment and appliances.
Requirements
- One (1) year experience as a food handler.
- Must possess a valid ServSafe (Food Handler) Certification.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Assist in washing dishes/utensils, store in orderly fashion.
- Assist with food preparation and service area daily which includes keeping refrigerators, floors, and food carts clean.
- Promote and support positive customer service through the facility.
- Participate in and promote student employability programs and activities.
