SUMMARY: Under direct supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, receives, sets up, prepares and serves a variety of food products to Cafeteria customers. Assures adequate supply of food and non-food items are available to meet anticipated needs; ensures freshness of items by checking date codes, temperature of holding areas, etc. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards for assigned work areas. Provides general support and assistance to all areas in the Cafeteria, including but not limited to cashiering, cash control, serving, handling food products, dish washing, simple cooking, catering, etc. Brown University Health employees are expected to successfully role model the organization's values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence as these values guide our everyday actions with patients, customers and one another.
