About The Position

Collegiate Charter School of Lowell is hiring for a cafeteria assistant to support in the cleaning and set-up of the cafeteria during lunches. Part-time hours, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Days could be flexible if not available 5 days per week. Collegiate Charter School of Lowell is a tuition-free public charter academy, providing an academically challenging program in a safe, structured environment. CCSL opened its doors in September 2013 to serve students in K-3. The school has expanded each school year and currently serves students in K-12 as of the 2022-23 school year. Our mission is to be a provider of top-quality education to a highly diverse student body. CCSL will prepare all students for success in college, equip them with the ability and desire for lifelong learning, and strengthen their civic, ethical, and moral values. CCSL will maintain high standards of efficiency and accountability throughout its operation.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Follow safety and sanitation practices and procedures
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds (trash) required
• Ability to work with a diversity of individuals
• Available 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (days flexible 2-5 days per week)

Nice To Haves

• Prior food service or related field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in clean up of cafeteria space in preparation for each lunch (wash tables, sweep, mop as needed)
• Empty trash as needed, dispose of trash in outside dumpster as needed
• Utilize at all times exemplary practices in sanitation and personal cleanliness.
• Perform such other duties as assigned by the supervisor(s)
