About The Position

As a Cafe Team Member at Bell & Evans, you will play a vital role as part of our front-line food service team. In this position, you will not only serve meals but also assist with food preparation to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency. This role is essential in fostering a positive team environment and delivering an exceptional experience for all individuals we serve.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, or 1–3 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Consistent reliability and a strong work ethic
• Comfort interacting with team members in a friendly, professional manner while multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, organized environment
• A positive, team-oriented mindset and willingness to support others
• Comfort following safety, cleanliness, and quality standards with consistency
• Ability to speak English or Spanish clearly for communication and safety purposes, with basic reading and writing proficiency to understand safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals; bilingual proficiency is a plus
• Accuracy and efficiency when completing checklists and routine documentation

Responsibilities

• Keep our café clean, welcoming, and well-maintained for team members
• Provide cashier support and maintain front-of-house presentation by restocking the coffee station and serving areas to ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for team members
• Support behind-the-scenes operations, including dishwashing and general cleaning duties
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and caring for café floors and shared areas
• Keep the café running smoothly by restocking supplies and ensuring items are always available
• Assist with light food and beverage preparation
• Complete required monthly trainings in accordance with company policy
• Take an active role in upholding food safety and quality standards, speaking up and addressing any concerns as they arise
• Pitch in where needed and support the café team with additional duties as assigned
