About The Position

The Café Attendant will be responsible for delivering a warm and welcoming experience for our hotel guests—whether they’re starting their day with a fresh coffee or grabbing a quick bite before heading out. The ideal candidate brings prior food service experience, a positive attitude, and a passion for excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service, coffee shop, or quick-serve environment preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and on your feet for extended periods
  • Able to follow directions and work as part of a team
  • Flexible schedule availability (including weekends or early mornings, as needed)
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
  • Ability to bend, reach, and stoop regularly
  • Ability to lift, push or pull up to 30 lbs. (e.g., boxes, supplies)
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Make sound judgments quickly
  • Work on multiple tasks
  • Able to work independently, take direction, and provide direction to others
  • Manage differing personalities within the property

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team with all team members within the property
  • Report to work on time and in proper uniform/approved attire
  • Greet guests with a positive attitude and provide fast, friendly service
  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, smoothies, and other beverages
  • Restock and maintain grab-and-go items such as sandwiches, pastries, salads, and snacks
  • Operate POS system and credit card transactions accurately
  • Keep the coffee bar and service area clean, organized, and well-stocked
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and company procedures
  • Assist with inventory, opening/closing duties, and other tasks as assigned
  • Ability to handle situations, or when situations arise, ability to let manager/supervisor know ahead of time so as not to affect the guest experience
  • Perform other duties as management requests to service our guests
