About The Position

We are seeking a CAD and PLM Architect in our Broomfield, CO Location. This role will define the CAD and PLM architecture by creating efficient and automated workflows. The focus will be to enable engineers and physicist to innovate rapidly. Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree Minimum
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience managing product data and providing administrative support for PLM systems.
  • Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status.
  • Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering, software, or related field
  • Deep expertise in PLM and CAD platforms, particularly Arena and Onshape
  • Modern programmer and API integrator who ships maintainable code; comfortable with Python, FeatureScript, API development, CI/CD workflows, testing and system monitoring
  • Strong understanding of configuration management principles, including change control and versioning.
  • Experience with product meta data, BOM (Bill of Materials), and document management.
  • Proven ability to create, maintain, and improve technical documentation and workflow processes.
  • Experience working with PTC’s cloud-native Arena and Onshape products, as well as SAP ERP systems
  • Able to build user-friendly tool interfaces with a focus on documentation and clarity
  • Ability to build strong relationships and effectively partner with others
  • Excellent organization, communication, and documentation skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to pro-actively suggest / submit feature improvement requests via ticketing process to PTC.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, configure, and administer the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system to support evolving business needs.
  • Maintain accurate product data and documentation within PLM system (Arena).
  • Drive CAD architecture and standards with a focus on Onshape
  • Build and maintain automation scripts and lightweight internal tools to replace repetitive tasks with reliable, streamlined workflows.
  • Develop and implement processes and training for configuration control and change management
  • Train engineering and cross-functional teams on PLM workflows and configuration management best practices.
  • Design and optimize product lifecycle workflows, including approval and change processes
  • Oversee product change management activities to ensure compliance and traceability
  • Integrated Onshape and Arena with ERP, MES, and business systems through reliable, well-documented APIs
