About The Position

We are seeking Cable Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, supporting, and maintaining low-voltage cabling systems in commercial construction environments.

Requirements

Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor construction environments
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documentation
Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs
Ability to distinguish colors, read small print, and recognize audible signals (e.g., dial tones)
Self-motivated, professional, and committed to continuous improvement and teamwork

Responsibilities

Install work area outlets for floors (monuments), modular furniture (surface-mount boxes), and walls (box eliminators)
Drop cable down walls using fish tape or other approved methods and route cable through modular furniture
Perform pre-termination work including organizing, dressing, and labeling cables and determining proper cable length and slack
Suspend and support cables using cable trays, J-hooks, D-rings, bridal rings, and trapeze supports
Build and configure telecommunications closets, including mounting backboards, racks, patch panels, fiber optics, and related hardware
Install proper grounding for racks, equipment, and cabling systems
Perform fire-stopping procedures on fire-rated walls, install sleeves, and pull cable through sleeves and core penetrations
Terminate low-voltage devices according to project specifications and industry standards
