About The Position
Cabinetry & Finish Carpentry Subcontractors – Independent Contractors Rochester, New York & Surrounding Areas We are seeking qualified independent cabinetry and finish carpentry subcontractors to perform residential cabinet installation and finish carpentry services on a project-by-project basis in Rochester, New York and surrounding areas . This opportunity is intended for established carpentry businesses seeking consistent subcontracted work. This posting does not constitute an offer of employment. All work will be performed under a written subcontractor agreement. Scope of Subcontracted Services Installation of kitchen and bathroom cabinetry (base, wall, tall, and specialty cabinets) Installation of interior trim and finish carpentry , including: Baseboards, casing, crown moulding, and paneling Doors, hardware, shelving, and built-ins Layout, measuring, scribing, shimming, and leveling Coordination with other trades to meet project schedules Completion of work in accordance with provided scopes, specifications, and timelines Maintenance of clean and safe job sites, including work in occupied residences Mandatory Compliance Requirements (New York) All subcontractors must provide current documentation demonstrating: Active New York State Workers’ Compensation coverage OR a legally valid exemption where applicable Commercial General Liability insurance meeting standard industry limits, with ability to name contractor as additional insured upon request Legally registered business entity (sole proprietor, LLC, or corporation) Valid EIN or SSN for tax reporting (1099-NEC) Ability to submit itemized invoices for completed work Ownership and use of own tools, equipment, and transportation Independent Contractor Acknowledgements Subcontractors must: Maintain full control over the means and methods of their work Be responsible for all taxes, insurance, licensing, permits, and regulatory compliance Supply their own labor and determine crew composition Comply with all applicable federal, New York State, and local laws , including OSHA requirements Qualified subcontractors interested in establishing a professional, ongoing subcontracting relationship are encouraged to apply.
Requirements

Nice To Haves
- Minimum two (2) years of residential cabinetry and/or finish carpentry experience
- Proven experience with cabinet installation and detailed trim work
- Strong measuring, layout, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet schedules and quality standards
- Professional conduct when working in client homes
- Crew leaders and small crews encouraged to apply
