About The Position

Our growing client is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to support purchasing, inventory planning, and supply chain operations. This role is responsible for managing product ordering, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to meet business needs. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working with data to drive purchasing decisions while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or inventory management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP preferred

Responsibilities

  • Purchasing & Order Management Review demand forecasts and create purchase orders to meet inventory and business requirements
  • Evaluate purchase requests for accuracy and feasibility
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery, resolving delays or discrepancies as needed
  • Inventory Planning & Analysis Monitor inventory levels across locations to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Analyze trends, overstock risks, and demand patterns to improve ordering decisions
  • Work to minimize stockouts and reduce unnecessary transfers between locations
  • Data Management & Reporting Maintain accurate product, pricing, and cost data within internal systems
  • Review and update item records, ensuring consistency and accuracy
  • Generate and analyze reports to support purchasing and inventory strategies
  • Vendor & Internal Collaboration Build strong working relationships with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams
  • Communicate regularly to coordinate orders, resolve issues, and improve processes
  • Manage discrepancies, claims, and exceptions related to orders
  • Process Improvement & Compliance Identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency and inventory accuracy
  • Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Support a safe and organized work environment
