As a Buyer, you will support UPLIFT Desk’s purchasing activities, manage vendor relationships, and ensure the timely procurement of high-quality goods at competitive pricing. This role requires strong attention to detail, negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to support inventory and operational needs.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
  • Intermediate spreadsheet skills (Google Sheets or Excel) and strong attention to detail.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on cost efficiency and problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using ERP systems for purchasing/inventory (NetSuite preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, ecommerce preferred.
  • Experience in international procurement, contracting and supply chain management, Asia experience preferred.
  • Familiarity working with sophisticated tools for demand and supply planning (i.e Blue Ridge).

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet organizational requirements.
  • Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and new product offerings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve favorable agreements, optimizing costs while maintaining quality and service levels.
  • Monitor vendor performance, ensuring adherence to quality, delivery timelines, and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and vendor databases.
  • Work closely with internal teams to understand their procurement needs and specifications, while being an organizational champion of cost-consciousness.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with internal teams to support demand planning and stock availability.
  • Perform other tasks as necessary to ensure the success of the organization.
