About The Position

Responsible for maintaining supply continuity according to ANS policies. The procurement of supplies, raw materials, and equipment necessary for the operation of the organization. The individual in this position aids in purchasing assignments of production materials. Maintains knowledge of materials and sources of supply to make purchases at prices that are consistent with quality and quantity requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or four to six years equivalent directly related work experience
Demonstrated organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
Highly proficient in spoken and written English
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail software.
Experience with ERP systems required, Epicor preferred.
This employee must be able to move 25 pounds, and must be able to sit, stand, type and click a mouse for extended periods of time.
Ability to concentrate and focus on detailed information for long periods.
Emotional intelligence to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with co-workers, internal and external customers.
Requires repetitive reviewing of numbers and other information and nearly mistake free work performance.

Responsibilities

Execute processes and procedures accordingly
Evaluate MRP daily, generate and execute purchase orders based on delivery date requirements
Manage and maintain purchase orders: status, lead time, tracking information
Organize, plan, and prioritize work
Regularly communicate with planning and procurement to ensure schedules are met and delays avoided
Investigate and resolve material issues/shortages
Ensure purchase requests are responded to in a timely manner
Day to Day relationship ownership of active suppliers
Maintain accurate supplier and part information in ERP system: lead-times, MOQs, price list, contacts
Resolve invoice discrepancies/issues
Resolve receiving discrepancies/issues
Participate in working sessions/meetings
Interact with other functional areas within the company such as engineering, quality assurance, and planning
Communicate clearly and accurately choosing the most effective communication method for various types of information
Develop and maintain strong, supportive relationships with both internal and external customers
Contribute to continuous improvement activities
Ability to work independently, decisively, and autonomously as well as in a team environment as needed
