A new secondhand clothing store is opening in the Belmont Shores area of Long Beach, California, and is seeking an experienced Buyer to evaluate and purchase clothing, shoes, and accessories directly from the public. We specialize in offering high-quality pieces, extending the life of fashion, and creating a fun, sustainable shopping experience for the community.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience with buying used clothes, shoes, and accessories from the public through a buy-sell-trade program.
Strong knowledge of current fashion trends, brands, and resale value.
Quick, detail-oriented, and professional in presenting offers.
Friendly with excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Create a friendly, welcoming experience for all customers, including those bringing items to sell or trade.
Evaluate items that customers (sellers) bring in to sell or trade, ensuring they meet store standards.
Use trend knowledge and buying criteria to decide what to purchase, keeping our inventory fresh and on-brand.
Offer sellers store credit or Venmo payments based on the item’s condition and resale value.
Keep accurate records of purchases and transactions.
Collaborate with store management to support daily operations and maintain an inviting store environment.
