This position provides functional business knowledge and technical support to the business unit through developed and ad hoc analysis/reporting, as well as designing and programming new processes/reports. The analyst acts as a subject matter expert for the department or business unit on business systems/applications. Key responsibilities include analyzing company functions, processes, and activities to improve computer-based business applications for the most effective use of resources. The role involves application/system design and implementation, documenting development requirements, and consulting with end users for testing and debugging applications. The analyst will develop ad-hoc reports for data analysis and validation, confer with departments to analyze operational procedures and identify problems, and conduct business analysis to recommend technical alternative solutions to management. Additionally, the position requires researching, evaluating, and assessing the financial impact of identified issues, supporting and troubleshooting systems and applications, and creating multiuser, real-time, robust database solutions. The analyst will act as a content expert in requirements solicitation, system analysis, technical design, programming, and documentation of business applications/systems. They may also monitor and report on departmental project status, anticipating and identifying issues, and implementing corrective actions and mitigation strategies.
