About The Position

This role offers the opportunity to lead and shape the business systems function, ensuring that complex business problems are solved efficiently through automated solutions. You will manage and mentor a team of analysts, oversee system design and enhancements, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional designs. Your leadership will drive process improvements, standardize documentation, and ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on involvement in agile project execution, resource management, and performance tracking. The successful candidate will influence key decisions, promote operational excellence, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
• Proven servant leadership with experience coaching and developing team members
• Deep expertise in agile processes and proficiency in managing multiple scrum/agile teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex business challenges
• Ability to bridge business requirements with technical design and solutions
• Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels
• Experience with performance management, talent development, and resource planning
• Proficiency in system design methodologies, documentation standards, and solution enforcement

Nice To Haves

• Experience with medical billing systems, healthcare claims, or workers’ compensation management
• Background in claims examiner oversight, medical bill review operations, or related financial services
• Experience managing teams across multiple products or platforms
• Familiarity with scaled agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, etc.)
• Experience leading transitions from waterfall to agile methodologies

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of the business systems analysis team to support software enhancements and new product initiatives
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to define solutions, elaborate requirements, and develop functional designs
• Provide project leadership, application-specific expertise, and technical guidance aligned with business requirements
• Develop and monitor metrics to assess process performance and identify improvement opportunities
• Ensure adherence to solution documentation standards, system design methodologies, and agile practices
• Mentor, coach, and evaluate personnel to maintain a high-performing team
• Manage budgets, resource allocation, and overall operational effectiveness for the function
